Your key is emailed to you within minutes of purchase. Check your inbox for a subject line "Your MaNiFy Cue Engine License Key". Also check your spam/junk folder. If you still can't find it, email us with your order reference number and we'll resend it.
Load MaNiFy Cue Engine as a plugin in your DAW. On first load, an activation screen appears. Paste your license key (format: MANIFY-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and click Activate. An internet connection is required for the first activation only. After that, the plugin runs offline. See the full activation guide.
Each key activates on up to 2 computers — for example, your studio desktop and your live performance laptop. If you need additional activations, email info@manifycreative.com.
Open Cue Engine on your old machine, click Deactivate in the plugin window. This frees up the slot. Then activate on your new machine with the same key. If you no longer have access to the old machine, email us and we can release the slot manually.
Go to your DAW's plugin preferences and trigger a rescan. On macOS, also check System Settings → Privacy & Security — if macOS blocked the plugin, click Allow Anyway. For Logic Pro specifically, go to Logic Pro → Settings → Plug-in Manager and reset the scan for MaNiFy Cue Engine. Full guide at DAW Setup.
No. After the first activation, Cue Engine runs entirely offline. Your license is stored securely on your machine.
Yes. Templates (Logic Pro and Ableton project files) are for your personal use and can be opened on any machine you own. They do not require activation.

Your phone and computer must be on the same WiFi network. Some hotel or institutional networks block local connections (AP isolation). In that case, create a mobile hotspot from your phone and connect your laptop to it instead. See the full mobile guide.
Yes — as a VST3 plugin. The AU format is macOS only. Windows users can use Cue Engine in any VST3-compatible DAW (Ableton Live, Cubase, Reaper, etc.).
